On July 27, 2024, the OSCA team gathered for a day filled with activities and learning at their Team Building Event. This year, the event took on a unique and exciting theme inspired by the ancient Japanese warrior culture—the Samurai. The day was dedicated to exploring and embodying the values of Ownership, Collaboration, and Responsibility, through a series of engaging activities and games.
To fully immerse the team in the Samurai spirit, the structure of the day was modelled after the Samurai hierarchy:
At the top, we had the Shogun—the supreme commander. In the OSCA version, this prestigious role was played by our esteemed Chief Executive Officer, Allan.
Daimyo—The regional lords who oversaw the clans. Each clan was led by a Hatamoto—team leader, who ensured their Samurai warriors worked together effectively. Most participants took on the honoured role of Samurai—the backbone of the organization. These team members were tasked with executing the activities with honour, loyalty, and courage.
A Day of Growth and Unity
The OSCA Team Building Event l was not only a day of fun and excitement but also a powerful reminder of the values that drive the company forward. By adopting the Samurai ethos and focusing on Ownership, Collaboration, and Responsibility, the OSCA team strengthened their bonds and renewed their commitment to achieving excellence together.
As the event concluded, the day was brought to a fitting close with an appreciation awards ceremony dinner, celebrating the outstanding achievements of our members. The evening was filled with pride as we honoured top performers of 2024 and recognized the dedication of our long-serving team members. The ceremony celebrated individual successes while reinforcing the collective spirit and commitment that drive our organization, marking a memorable end to a day of learning, camaraderie, and unity.
