Engineering Elegance

The design vision for the office draws inspiration from the firm’s engineering focus, aiming for a modern yet industrial aesthetic. Utilizing raw materials like wood and concrete, the space is divided into client-facing and general work areas. Glass writing boards encourage collaboration in the latter. The pantry doubles as a client meeting spot and casual workspace. Strategically positioned windows overlook the outdoor garden, offering a serene backdrop for bar-height workstations. This layout fosters a collaborative atmosphere while providing opportunities for relaxation and productivity amidst the industrial-inspired design.

An issue gleaned in the project design has to do with the high exposed ceilings, which can cause echoes throughout the office. To rectify this, soft furnishings such as carpet and wallpaper were used in an effort to reduce the echo levels. In addition. enclosed office rooms such as the director rooms and phone booths were fitted with closed ceiling that are lower in height, instead of wide-open ones.
